It's all your brain, it processes what it sees. Like my last blog mentioned about JUNK MIND but seeing panipuri and pav bhaji in the first line itself you thought it to be on JUNK FOOD. This happens because we tend to find health and junk food much more relatable than the junk mind.
When such a scenario takes place in a negative pattern we tend to fall in the category of 'jumping to conclusions ' cognitive distortion. Let the brain not confuse between 'diamond' and 'glass', and get a quick look on what do these junks do to you, quickly asses yourselves and know the ways to get rid of them and tips for healthy mind.
》Negative thoughts → feeling of hopelessness and helplessness → stress → hormonal imbalance, deplete brain chemicals, damage the immune system.
》Know yourself a little better. Help your body by taking care of your mind. Some warning signs that you have become a negative thinker,
2. You judge others "negative people tend to be hyper-critical of others ", says Crawford
3. You don't accept compliments
4. Not excited about future
5. Focused on problems, not the solution

HOW TO CORRECT THESE DISTORTIONS?
》Getting into shit is easy, but cleaning it is a task to do. Similarly correcting distortion can be harder at times, but if corrected you would be gifting the best to your mind and body.
Dug the entire web and went through some best books of cognitive distortion, I bring to you some proven tasks which can help you to get rid of these mind junks.
1. BECOME AWARE
》Think about what you are thinking. Become aware of thoughts that are making you anxious.
FUN TIP - Remember Dr. Asthana in the movie MUNNABHAI MBBS (Boman Irani). He used to deal with his anger as easy as ABC.So you can use it to fight the mind junks too. Whenever you find yourself being stuck in a thought, try to laugh as hard as you can. No you are not mad. You just love yourself.
2.IDENTIFY IT
》 Every problem has a solution. You just need to find which pattern of thinking we fall into(described in my previous blog). And try to correct it.
3.BRING THE POSITIVE
》"Believe you can change".
Belives can shake huge mountains. All you need to do is believe in yourself. Avoid the "black or white" concept. Bring more grays in your life.
4.STOP BEING SELF-CRITICAL
》Don't be too harsh to yourself. Learn to be kind to yourselves too as you are with others. Identify the number of experiences and situations where you had success.
5.REPLACE YOUR SHOULD'S AND MUST'S
》Stop giving limits to your positive thoughts. Try substituting should's with an "it would be nice with.." statements.
6.REALITY CHECK
》Try to clarify things that are disturbing you. Despite giving a conclusion to situations, pause, consider the scenario, and then conclude.
